One simple way to make a gift to the Highland Lakes Family Crisis Center is to list the agency as a beneficiary on your retirement plan's designation form. This is a tax-effcient method of making a substanial gift, saving both estate and income taxes to which an individual beneficiary may be subject. You and your tax advisor could determine the best choice for your needs.

For information about making donations of clothing, household items, furniture and appliances, please call the Good Neighbor Thrift Store at (830) 798-1512, for more information click on the Thrift Store button located on the left side of this page. All proceeds from the thrift store directly benefit the Crisis Center. Crisis Center clients who are transitioning to new violence free beginnings receive household items and furniture at no cost made available by generous donations from the community.
Events help provide much of funding for the Center:
- Annual Golf Tournament - Fall Fundraiser
- Thank you to our Tournament Director, all the Underwriters, Sponsors, Donors and event volunteers for our October 2010 success, over $35,000 raised.
- Art & Wine Auction - Spring Fundriaser April 2009 the art and wine auction raised over $20,000 thanks to the hard work and dedication of the HLFCC Board of Directors.
